Tested on 20 years of market data.

Breakaway does the work for you, and here's the proof: the highest Quality Score stocks, in front of you, with the record to show for it.

Our top-scored stocks made 2.2x what the average stock made the next month.

3.0%vs1.3%Top scoredAverage stock

On average, our top-scored stocks went up 3.0% the next month. The average stock went up 1.3%.

“Top-scored” means a Quality Score of 20 or more; “the next month” is the next 20 trading days. Scores from Oct 2021 to Sep 2026, against every stock scanned, before costs; those before Sep 9 2026 were estimated afterwards from what was known each day. Past results, not advice.

Over 1 week: the stocks we score highest 0.6%, the average stock 0.4%, ahead in 57 out of 100. Over 2 weeks: the stocks we score highest 1.4%, the average stock 0.7%, ahead in 59 out of 100. Over 1 month: the stocks we score highest 3.0%, the average stock 1.3%, ahead in 65 out of 100. Over 3 months: the stocks we score highest 7.8%, the average stock 4.4%, ahead in 66 out of 100.

As a group, they beat the average stock in 65 out of 100 one-month stretches. Over 3 months, the gap grew: 7.8% against 4.4%.

Every Quality Score is built the same way, from a company's financials, its insiders' trades, and its long-term trend, using signals tested on 20 years of market data.

What we tested

  • 12,559

stocks, delisted ones included, every one we could score, not a sample.

  • 5 years

of scores, daily from Mar 10 2025 and weekly back to Oct 2021, estimated from each day's data; recorded live since Sep 9 2026.

  • 750

tests run and logged, the signals on 20 years of market data, 2006 to 2026.

The top ten

Our top ten made 2.5x what the average stock made the next month, and beat it in 63 out of 100 one-month stretches.

3.5%vs 1.4% for the average stock

A year later

57 in 100 of our top-scored stocks were up a year later. All stocks: 53.

57in 100 up a year later, vs 53 for all stocks

What it does not do

  • No score picks every winner. 55 in 100 of our top-scored stocks went up the next month.
  • Our worst top ten, from Jun 10 2022, fell 25.9% the next month.
  • A score moves over months, not days.

Said plainly, because a record that hides its worst days proves nothing.

How we keep score now

Since Sep 9 2026, every day's top ten is recorded the moment it is scored, with what each stock did next. Nothing is redrawn after the fact.

How the signals were tested

  • As it was known. Each day uses only the prices and financials public that day.
  • Every stock. Delisted stocks stay in, sold at their last trade, so no failure is left out.
  • Against the field. Each result is measured against every stock scanned that same day.
The full method

Each test forms a group at every day's close, holds it 5, 10, 20, or 60 trading days, and compares it with the equal-weight average of every stock scanned that day. Each result is read before trading costs and after them.

Choices were made on the years to Dec 2015 and judged on Jan 2016 to Sep 2026. From Oct 2021 on, the score's figures were fit to nothing: each day's score uses only what was public that day, estimated afterwards until Sep 9 2026 and recorded live since.
